Techniques for using Files and Rifflers on Stone

Rifflers and Files

The surform, vixen file, wood rasp, and rifflers are
pictured below. Each one is used for various applications.
Their cutting surfaces are made of different materials.
Because stones differ in hardness either metal, carbide, or
diamond files could be use in your carving. I will demonstrate
their effective use during class.
